Rotten vegetables and fake spices being served in the canteen of Rajasthan High Court, shocking things revealed in the food safety raid

Jaipur : A team of food safety officers inspected the canteens located in the Rajasthan High Court premises on Monday and found that all the canteens were running without a ‘food license’. Not only this, the officers found rotten potatoes and onions, artificial colors, rotten food items, dirty utensils, dirty stoves, old namkeen, expired chocolate syrup, cabbage and tea made in dirty utensils in these canteens.

Canteen running without food license

The officials banned all types of business activities in the High Court premises until all shopkeepers and operators get their licenses. According to the official statement, on Monday, a team of food safety officials inspected the canteens located in the High Court premises. All the canteens were found to be operating without ‘food license’. This action was taken on the written request of Rajasthan Bar Council President Bhuvnesh Sharma.

Spice packets were found to be expired

Additional Commissioner Pankaj Ojha said that during the investigation, fungus was found in the fridge of a canteen and the packets of spices were found to be of expired date. Apart from this, rusted boxes were also found, in which spices and other items were kept. The condition of cleanliness and hygiene was not found to be good. None of the canteens has a ‘food license’. Rotten potatoes and onions, artificial colors, rotten food items, dirty utensils, black floors and walls, dirty stoves, old namkeen, expired chocolate syrup and cabbage and tea made in dirty utensils were found. He said that boxes of food colors were found, which were put in food items. During this, M/s Girdhar Gopal Enterprises as well as shop number 15, shop number 12 and shop number 9, Saras Dairy booth number 181 and shop number 21, 19, 17 and 8 were inspected.

The canteen is closed until the license is made

According to this, all types of business activities were banned in the High Court premises until the licenses of all the shopkeepers and operators of food shops were made. Mainly samples of Kadhai oil, Sambar, Lassi, Chana ki dal, chutney, gram flour and refined soybean oil were taken for testing from two canteens, action will be taken after the report comes.
