Rs 14,000 withdrawn from young man’s account by cyber fraud in Bharatpur

A youth has registered a case of cyber fraud at Bharatpur : Bayana Police Station. A young man working in tailoring in the town became a victim of fraud by opening a fake link on WhatsApp group. The thugs hacked the young man’s mobile and withdrew Rs 14,097 from his account. Not only this, the thugs also made obscene photos viral on WhatsApp groups from the hacked youth’s mobile. The victim has lodged a complaint at the Kotwali police station regarding the incident.

Lokesh Prajapat, a resident of Pathanpada of the victim town, said that he had accidentally opened an unknown link on the WhatsApp group in a hurry. When he woke up on Tuesday morning, he got a message on his mobile that Rs 14,097 had been withdrawn from his bank account. After some time, calls were received from some acquaintances that obscene photos were being shared with fake links on WhatsApp groups from his number. It was then that he came to know that his mobile phone had been hacked.
