Rules for burning firecrackers issued on Diwali, know when and for how long you can use fireworks

Jaipur : Rajasthan Government Environment and Climate Change Department has issued an order regarding Diwali. In which the orders of the Supreme Court, National Green Tribunal and Air Quality Management Commission Delhi from time to time to control and regulate the sale and use of firecrackers in order to effectively and adequately reduce the relevant increase in air pollution in the National Capital Region. The Home Department of the State Government has also mentioned the advisory dated 15th October 2021 and the departmental order dated 9th November 2023 regarding the sale and use of firecrackers. According to the advisory of Home Department on 15 October 2021, only green fireworks will be allowed.

These orders were issued in 2023

Fireworks will not be burst within 100 meters of silence zones like hospitals, nursing homes, primary and district health centres, educational institutions, courts, religious places. On Diwali, Guru Parv etc., firecrackers will be burst only from 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm. On the occasion of Christmas and New Year, firecrackers will be burst only from 11:55 pm to 12:30 am. In the area of ​​the state which falls within the National Capital Region and adjacent areas, firecrackers will be burst only on Diwali and other festivals. Areas should be identified for operation and information about it should be provided to the general public. In such areas, only advanced and green firecrackers should be used in marriage ceremonies.

Keep an eye on the sale of firecrackers

Orders have also been issued to ensure that banned firecrackers are not sold. Awareness campaigns should be run in colleges and schools in the state regarding the harm caused by burning of firecrackers and the general public should also be made aware in this regard. It will be the responsibility of the station officers of the police stations of the state to ensure compliance with the above instructions.
