Barmer : During the general meeting of Zilla Parishad in Barmer, there was an uproar over the absence of responsible officers of many departments and MLAs of the ruling party. The parties and the opposition came face to face over the absence of MLAs. There was a dispute between Zilla Parishad members Narpatraj Mudh, Kheraj Hooda and head Mamta Prajapat. Meanwhile, the district chief pacified everyone. Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati said that instead of public problems, if the party and opposition start fighting like this then the work of the officers will become easier. He requested everyone to discuss the issues. The issues of lack of quality in electricity, medicine, water and roads dominated the meeting.
The general meeting of the District Council started in the auditorium on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Chief Mahendra Chaudhary. CEO Siddharth Palanichamy presented the proceedings of the meeting. During this, Roop Singh Rathod said that the roads got damaged due to rain and even the raincoats were not filled. On this, PWD SE Suraram said that the raincuts have been rectified. Apart from this, if any road is broken, then proposals have been sent to the state government. Narpatraj Mudh said that in the last meeting, the issue of removing hanging wires and electric poles from the road was raised, but no solution has been found. Apart from this, many issues were discussed and the Chief gave effective instructions and directed to take action on the issues of the previous meeting.
Mosquito outbreak in Baldev Nagar
Pradhan Ruparam said that there is a lot of mosquito infestation in Baldev Nagar and even a drain is incomplete. On this the Collector said that spraying will be done again. He said that people have encroached, that is why there is trouble. Encroachments will have to be removed to repair drains and roads. This process will start in a few days. Narpatraj said that the city scan machine in the district hospital is faulty and poor people are getting troubled. MLA Bhati said that there is a serious problem regarding medical treatment in the remote areas of Shiv area. It should be monitored effectively. Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena informed about the effective action being taken by the police to prevent criminal activities in Barmer district.
There is not a single official from Balotra, why have we come?
When the issue of absence of officers was raised in the meeting, Zilla Parishad member Garima Rajpurohit said that Balotra does not have a single officer, then why have we come here? You decide the next date of the meeting. Meanwhile, Pradhan Mukan Singh said that leave alone the officers, even the ruling party MLAs who have been elected by the public have not come here. Garima Rajpurohit quipped that the people of the ruling party are not in power, so what answer will they give even after coming. Shamma Bano said that there are senior public representatives in the meeting, the officials are giving vague answers. Don’t make the meeting a joke, maintain the dignity of the House. It is unfortunate that no one came from Balotra. Meanwhile, MLA Bhati said that if there is discussion between the parties and the opposition, the officials will get a chance. I am requesting both of them to talk on issues related to public problems. The District Chief said that the government belongs to all of us, everyone should discuss the issues related to the public.
Condition of roads is not good, quality is round
District Council member Kheraj Hooda said that the condition of roads in Barmer district is not good. No care is being taken regarding quality. Now a road has been built near the refinery by spending crores of rupees from CSR fund, but it got broken within a month. There is no monitoring by officers. Officials only care about commission. Ghafoor Ahmed said that the roads in Chauhtan area are also in bad condition. SE Suraram said that proposals have been sent regarding the renovation of roads. Approval has not been received.
Corruption in JJM, work remains incomplete
The members alleged that corruption is taking place on a large scale in Jal Jeevan Mission, but the officials are not paying attention. The contractors are working as per their wish. Pipeline has reached many villages, but water has not come. Even if water is available, the dhanis are being deprived at some places. SE Sonaram Beniwal of JJM Project said that it is a big project, work is in progress. Water will reach every house. There has been some delay, earlier it was with Panchayati Raj, but later it was separated.
Pradhan was not satisfied with DFO’s reply, Collector took charge
In the general meeting of the Zilla Parishad, the issue of controlling pigs, which are creating an atmosphere of panic among the common people along with the farming of farmers, became a topic of discussion. Because Dhanau Pradhan Shama Bano said that these days there is a terror of pigs in the entire district including Chauhtan, Sedwa, they are spoiling the crops of the farmers. Not only this, they have also attacked people. Whenever we go among the farmers in the area, this problem remains serious. MPs, MLAs, district heads and administrative officers are present in the meeting, this should be resolved.
Deputy Forest Conservator Savita Dahiya said that it is not in our jurisdiction because there is no wild boar. Some people catch them from Punjab and Haryana and drop them here. Now we can catch them and leave Pakistan, what else to do? Meanwhile Pradhan said that whatever you do, a solution is needed. Meanwhile, the District Collector, while handling the matter, said that it has been a month since a complaint came to me. We will conduct a block wise survey and auction it.
Roadways officials did not arrive, public representatives angry
The Roadways official had to answer the question of member Roop Singh. Here, when the traffic inspector stood up to answer instead of the roadways chief manager, the public representatives got angry. The district head asked where is the manager? The inspector said that there is a meeting in Jaipur tomorrow, so preparations are being made. Roop Singh and Narpatraj said that this method is not right. After this the chief asked them to go out and said to call the officer and inform, after this the chief manager reached the meeting. Similarly, when the number of the sports department came, a support employee got up to answer, then he was also thrown out. The District Chief expressed his displeasure and said that it is very unfortunate that the officers are not coming to the meeting. Told the CEO that this is a serious matter. The board unanimously passes a resolution that a letter be written to the government against the officers who are absent.
