Beijing, 6 December (IANS). A Russian naval fleet comprising several warships, including the frigate ‘Altar Chentenzapov’ and the medium-sized offshore oil tanker ‘Pechenga’, arrived at a military port in the city of Chengdu in China’s Shandong province on Thursday. There the fleet began a five-day friendly visit.
Under the guidance of the Chinese navy ship Yencheng, the Russian fleet of ships flying the national flags of China and Russia slowly arrived at a military port in Chengdu. He was welcomed by more than 100 representatives of naval officers and soldiers from China’s Northern Theatre.
It is worth noting that the Russian ships visiting this time have participated in many naval cooperation and exchange activities between China and Russia.
According to Li Hao, an officer of the Chinese naval ship Yencheng, I participated in China-Russia maritime joint patrol, joint exercises and training missions with the ship Yencheng. During this time, I expanded my perspective and the communication and mutual trust between both parties was also enhanced. During this friendly visit, we also look forward to deepening our friendship with each other and continuing to exchange business skills in the coming days activities.
During the visit to Chengdu, Chinese and Russian officers and soldiers will visit each other’s warships, exchange professional skills and hold cultural and sports competitions.
According to the plan, the Russian fleet will end its voyage on the morning of December 9 and leave Chengdu.
