Churu : After the completion of the tenure of the Municipal Council Board of 60 wards of Churu Municipal Body area, Administrator has been appointed as per the orders of the government. On the other hand, lotteries of wards also have to be held for delimitation. For which, with the beginning of the process, these days on one hand the administration is active and on the other hand the round of ward parikrama is going on to know the condition of the streets of the city. As a result, when we probed the people of Ward 26 of the city, the residents of the ward have drawn attention towards many problems ranging from cleanliness system. However, the ward councilor representative claims that Ward 26 is such a ward whose all the streets are connected with roads. There are roads in the ward but the people of the ward complain that the roads including drains are not cleaned regularly. Some streets of the ward are not connected to sewerage and at some places the ward residents complain that the chambers have not been maintained properly. The main problem of this ward is the same as that of the city, that the residents of the ward are not getting sweet water to drink. This is not only a complaint of the ward but it is now becoming a big issue.
There is no regular cleaning in the ward
Ward residents face problems due to lack of regular cleaning in the ward. Due to garbage in the drains, dirty water overflows and enters the road. At many places, the chambers have not been constructed properly and people face problems due to the dirty water coming out due to them being loose. Because sometimes even drinking water gets contaminated due to this.
Some streets not connected to sewerage line
There are some streets of the ward which are not connected to the sewerage line due to which many people are facing problems. The city council has been informed several times. There is a possibility of an accident in the street when the electric pole is adjacent to the wall. Electricity Corporation was told but did not pay attention.
Ward residents yearn for sweet drinking water
The ward is connected to the Apni scheme but the people of the ward are still yearning for fresh water. People either have to drink salty water or those who can afford it are buying sweet water and drinking it. This increases the financial burden but people who drink salt water usually start complaining of joint pain.
