Samples will be tested in Kota FSL and Bareilly Lab, fear of poisoning

Kota : Kota: Samples of crocodiles found dead in the anicut of Chandraloi river around Chandresal Math will be examined. The team that conducted the post-mortem of the dead bodies of 3 crocodiles (3, 9 and 15 years old) in 5 days has not found any clear cause of death. To find out the cause of death, samples will be tested at two places (FSL Kota and Bareilly Izzat Nagar). Postmortem team member Dr. Akhilesh Pandey said that a team of three doctors conducted the postmortem of the body of a 15-year-old female. There were food items in his stomach. Bones were found. Probably he ate a small goat. No signs of disease were found. It may be a case of poisoning. Those symptoms are not visible. Samples of all three crocodiles will be sent to Kota FSL and Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly Izzat Nagar. The cause of death will be clear only after investigation.

Dr. Pandey told that farming and vegetables are being done in the surrounding area. If pesticides are being used, they need to be banned. There are hundreds of crocodiles around Chandraloi river. This area has been the natural habitat of crocodiles. This is a very old creature (from the time of dinosaurs). There is a need for their protection and security. There is also population in this area. Do farming and vegetables. Pesticides, bags, dirty drain water or industrial waste may be entering the river. There is a need to put a stop to that. Because it gradually gets accumulated in the body. It does not have immediate effect. But gradually it causes many organs in the body to fail. There have also been changes in color due to the effect of chemicals. Crocodiles have grayish gray colour. That vitis has turned grey. However, it will not be confirmed until a thorough investigation is done, this is a matter of study. The department needs some attention. Try to bring awareness.
