Jaipur : Sanganer Railway Station will no longer be able to become completely world class, because due to Bisalpur drinking water line, its original plan has to be changed. Railways has prepared a new plan and is preparing to send it to the Railway Board in four-five days. Construction work will start as soon as approval is received from the board.
Now the estimated cost of development of the station will be only Rs 115 crore instead of Rs 200 crore. Earlier the plan was that Sanganer station would be equipped with world class facilities at a cost of Rs 200 crore. Passenger facilities were to be developed at the first and second entry gates.
Due to lack of space at the first entry gate, it was decided to develop ticket house, parking, three-storey building, waiting area, game zone, food court and other passenger facilities at the second gate. But, due to Bisalpur drinking water line, it has become difficult to develop facilities at the second entry gate, as it does not seem possible to shift this line.
Railways first appealed to the officials of the water supply department and then to the Chief Secretary. Even after this, if no solution was found, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was informed. Following the Chief Minister’s order, the officials stopped the station and refused to shift the line.
Now make this plan
According to the new plan, many facilities like game zone, food court concourse, parking and waiting hall will not be built at Sanganer station. Necessary facilities like ticket only reservation centers and small waiting halls will be available at both the entry gates. Due to this, the total expenditure will also reduce by about 50 percent.
reason for change
Railway officials say that shifting the drinking water line would have taken a lot of time. Drinking water supply in the city would also be disrupted for a long time, which was not possible. Therefore its plan has been changed.
