Sanitation workers of Tonk Valmiki Samaj boycotted work

Tonk : sanitation workers of Valmiki Samaj on Thursday boycotted work and staged a protest demanding various demands. They say that experience certificates were distributed fraudulently. Nathulal Chanwariya, city president of All Rajasthan Safai Mazdoor Congress, said that regarding the recruitment of sweepers by the Municipal Council, the cleaning contractor has fraudulently given experience certificates to the sweepers. They should be canceled.

He told that apart from this, the demands of creating a separate zone for non-Valmiki sanitation workers and getting them to do the cleaning work, getting the arrears of sanitation workers recruited since 2018 and 1997, and paying for uniforms etc. were earlier put before the Commissioner and the administration, but no attention was paid. Therefore they have been forced to boycott cleaning works.

He said that if his demands were not met, he would boycott the work and continue the movement. On the other hand, due to boycott of work by the sanitation workers, the cleanliness system of the city came to a standstill. Garbage is seen scattered around the garbage and garbage containers on the roads, intersections and other main roads of the main market.
