Sawai Madhopur : Chauth ka Barwada, religious programs are being organized under the Panch Kalyan Mahotsav being organized by the Jain community in the town. Under this, Lord’s penance Kalyanak was celebrated on Monday. A grand procession was taken out with elephants. A large number of people of Jain community were present in it and women went to the newly constructed temple and purified the Bedi and the temple.
Chauth’s Panchkalyanak festival is being organized in Barwada after about 300 years. Under which there is a crowd of devotees in the town since December 6. After celebrating Janma Kalyanak Mahotsav on Sunday, Tapa Kalyanak Mahotsav was organized on Monday. Under which a grand procession was taken out from Dharamshala of Chauth Mata Mandir Trust, the venue of the program.
Sumitra Devi Lalchand Gupta got the privilege of sitting on the elephant in the procession. Also, after various types of religious chants, the procession started. Devotees were seen crazy about God while dancing and singing in the procession. The procession passed through the main roads of the town and reached the newly constructed Jain temple. There the women purified the altar and the temple. Various religious programs were organized in the temple. After this the devotees returned to the venue Chauth Mata Trust Dharamshala where religious rituals were performed in the presence of sages. Even before this, sermon meetings and other religious programs were organized in the night.
