Sawai Madhopur : Villagers will have to face drinking water crisis due to groundwater falling due to the big bore being done by the contractors of water supply department in Anicut in Gangapur City. The villagers met the collector in this matter. The villagers have given a memorandum to Collector Dr. Gaurav Saini, complaining and demanding to stop the work of the bore.
On Tuesday, villagers reached the collectorate of Ramgarh Murada, Jakholas Kalan, Jaitanpur, Jakholas Khurd, Talvriksh, Haripura, Arampura. Here the villagers submitted a memorandum to Collector Dr. Gaurav Saini. Villagers told that efforts are being made by the water supply department and contractors to bore a big bore on the anicut built on the Jivad river. On December 2, the contractors arrived with the machine. On this, the villagers refused the contractor not to bore here and said that if boring is done at the anicut, the water level will go down. Due to which about 8-10 villages will face problems of drinking water and irrigation.
Keeping in mind the future drinking water crisis of the villagers due to boring, he demanded the Collector to order the water supply department and the sensor not to bore here. The villagers also warned that if boring is done on the anicut on the Jivad river, the villagers will be forced to protest. Whose responsibility will be of administration and water supply department.
