Sawai Madhopur: Decision on irrigation water from Morel Dam will be taken on Thursday

Sawai Madhopur : Water distribution for irrigation of Rabi crop year 2025 will be done on 15th November. As per the instructions of the state government, water will be provided from Mansarovar Dam, Surwal Dam and Dheel Dam Baunli for irrigation of Rabi crop year 2025.

The district administration has decided that for irrigation of Rabi crop year 2025, the canal of Dheel Dam will be opened on 15th November at 11 am, the canal of Surwal Dam will be opened on 20th November at 11 am and the canal of Mansarovar Dam will be opened on 25th November at 11 am.

The district administration has decided to reserve up to 8.5 feet of water in Surwal dam to maintain the groundwater level of the surrounding area. Similarly, it has been decided to take legal action against those who obstruct the operation of canals or cause damage to the canals.

The decision to release water from Morel Dam for irrigation will be taken on Thursday.

A meeting will be held on Thursday to decide the program of systematic water distribution system for irrigation in the irrigated area of ​​Morel Dam for the Rabi crop in the year 2024-25. In this regard, a meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Bharatpur Rashmi Gupta.
