Sawai Madhopur : Ravanjana Dungar police station of Sawai Madhopur has arrested the accused of cheating of Rs 3 lakh on the pretext of marriage. The accused was absconding for the last 8 months. Police have arrested Ramesh Chand Gurjar (44), son of Mangilal, resident of Alanpur, resident of Mojipura Kailashpuri Hall near Dussehra Maidan, from the district jail on a production warrant.
Police station head Yaduveer Singh said that on August 14, Hari Singh, son of Balli Singh, resident of Jhirana police station, Hindaun City district, Karauli, had filed a report through an application. In this, Hari Singh told that he came in contact with a resident of Khubi, Singania police station Masalpur, who was already known to him.
On which Ramesh son Mangilal Gurjar, resident of Mojipura-Kailashpuri Gram Panchayat Dumoda police station Ravanjana Dungar introduced him to a girl in Kailashpuri. Ramesh told that the girl is his relative. He asked for three lakh rupees in exchange for marriage. The accused introduced the girl to Ramesh’s house. The accused took three lakh rupees in two installments (one lakh in the first and two lakh in the second).
After which the accused switched off his phone. When Hari Singh found the dead body, he reached Ramesh’s house. There he did not find Hari Singh, his two sons and the king. Filed a report in the police station. On which the police has arrested the accused.
