Sawai Madhopur : SC-Antara (Depo-Provera) training program was conducted for nursing staff at Sawai Madhopur CMHO office. The objective of this program was to build capacity of nursing staff in family planning services and promote effective use of Antara SC.
At the beginning of the program, CMHO (Chief Medical and Health Officer) Dr. Dharam Singh Meena highlighted the importance of family planning for maternal and child health. He said that family planning not only helps in improving the health of mothers and children but is also helpful in empowering women.
Additional CMHO (FW) Dr. K.C. Soni underlined the importance of spacing methods in family planning programs and called it an important step in empowerment. During this, Dr. Chetram Meena-Gynecologist and Krishna Gopal Soni-State Family Planning Manager, gave detailed training on SC-Antara. He focused specifically on counselling, follow up care, management of complications and medical eligibility criteria.
UNPFA (United Nations Population Fund) District Coordinator Aditya Tomar gave orientation on Family Planning Logistics Management System. He emphasized on the effectiveness of the logistics system to provide timely and proper service to the clients.
