Sawai Madhopur : The administration of Gram Panchayat Sacholi located in Barnala Tehsil Headquarters area has been facing serious allegations like fraud in government works. In collusion with the public representative and village development officer of Panchayat Sacholi, gravel construction work in various villages under the Panchayat, CC road construction work, cleanliness work in the villages under the Panchayat, removal of encroachment in a village of the Panchayat, filling of soil in bad roads, in the east A case of fraudulently raising government funds has come to light in works like raising the budget by pouring gravel on the stones lying on the roads and repairing the bad roads during the rainy season.
Complainants say that in connivance with Sarpanch Charatlal Meena and Village Development Officer, huge irregularities are being done in the government works going on in the Gram Panchayat. Poor quality work is being done. Which is not possible to last even one season. At the same time, Gram Panchayat Sarpanch and Village Development Officer are uploading photos of poor construction works on the portal and getting government money transferred to their accounts through OTP. The public is having to bear the brunt of this poor construction work. Besides, the government is losing lakhs of rupees.
A written complaint was lodged by the villagers to Development Officer Brijlal Meena, after which the Development Officer showed seriousness in the whole matter and formed a three-member committee to investigate. This investigation committee team has been ordered to complete the investigation within five days and submit the report.
Villagers say that there are a lot of irregularities in the work done by the Panchayat administration. The Gram Panchayat is not increasing the width of the roads but is supplying the food only to raise the budget. Due to which there is anger among the villagers. The villagers have demanded from the District Collector that an investigation should be conducted into the government construction work going on in the Gram Panchayat.
