Sawai Madhopur News Desk: The issue of encroachment on pasture land seemed to be gaining momentum in Gurla Nadi village of Gram Panchayat Nimod Rathore of Baunli subdivision. Dozens of villagers demonstrated at the SDM office today and submitted a memorandum to SDM Chandraprakash Verma. Villagers Tikaram, Ramkalyan, Ramvilas Devlal etc. told that influential people have encroached on Khasra number 235 of pasture land in Gurla Nadi village of Gram Panchayat Nimod Rathore. The protesters said that the orders to remove the encroachment were fixed for October 21. After the Revenue Department team reached the spot, due to non-arrival of police force, the Revenue Department team returned empty handed and no action could be taken.
Villagers said that due to non-arrival of police force the encroachment remains as it is. Pukhraj Gurjar told that about 12 people have encroached on about 40 to 50 bighas of pasture land and are doing agricultural work. About two years ago there was a bloody conflict over encroachment. In which dozens of people were injured. In such a situation, the above matter is very sensitive. Today a large number of villagers reached the SDM office and raised slogans and also submitted a memorandum to SDM Chandraprakash Verma and demanded removal of the encroachment. Citing the sensitivity of the matter, the villagers demanded immediate action. During this time many villagers including Mohanlal, Mansukh, Harishankar Gurjar, Bas Ram were present.
