There is no city in Rajasthan where adulteration in food items is not found. In such a situation, the adulterators have not spared even the famous sweet Kalakand of Alwar district.
In Alwar district, a campaign against pure food adulteration is being run by the state government. Under this, adulteration action was taken against M/s Sarfaraz Milk Cake in Kishangarh Bas Beda on Sunday. The food safety officer said that Kalakand was being made from milk, powder, refined, oil and semolina. About 2200 kg of adulterated Kalakand was destroyed after taking a sample. Here the floor was found broken and filth was found spread. Kalakand was being made in unhygienic conditions. Based on the reports of the samples taken, action will be taken as per rules. During this, Vinod Sharma, Lokesh Sharma, Devendra Ranaut and District Alwar Food Safety Officer Hemant Kumar Yadav etc. from the Central Food Safety Team were present.
