Seminar on de-addiction organized in Bharatpur Government PG College

Bharatpur : A one-day workshop was organized under the chairmanship of Acting Principal Raveena Meena at the Government PG College of Bayana Town on Thursday under “Nai Kiran: De-addiction Campaign”. In the program, Vijay Singh, Nirbhay Singh and Mukut Ram Sharma, associated with the social organization Shanti Kunj Haridwar Gayatri Parivar, on the basis of their statements, posters, books and their experiences, informed the college students about the ill effects of consumption of intoxicants like tobacco, gutkha and alcohol. Explained in detail about long term side effects and administered oath.

He said that drug addiction causes social, economic, physical and mental harm to a person. In the program, members of the drug de-addiction committee of the college, Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Dr. Hemlata Sharma, Dr. Rita Shukla appealed to the students to stay away from drugs and also make their family members and acquaintances aware about the ill effects of drugs. . He said that along with increase in crime due to drug addiction, family troubles also increase.

The program was conducted by committee coordinator Dr. Ravindra Kumar Sharma. Under the drug de-addiction campaign, a workshop was organized in Nagla village adjacent to the college. Bhagori was adopted. College students will go to the village and appeal to the villagers to stay away from drugs. Dr. Jitendra Kumar expressed his gratitude. During this, college faculty members Sawai Singh Gurjar, Prof. Satyaranjan Pathak, staff members Mansingh, Kunwarsingh Dagur, Jai Harjai, Manoj Kumar, Mukesh Meena, Bhagsingh Rohitash Kumar etc. were present.
