Jaipur : Jaipur Gwalior’s Tansen Utsav is celebrating its centenary this year. This festival will start for the first time in Jaipur on 22nd November at Jawahar Kala Kendra. It will end with the main festival to be held from 14th to 19th December (proposed) in Gwalior. Madhya Pradesh government has started this festival from Jaipur which will be held in participation of JKK. After Jaipur, it will be in Baroda and then Chhattisgarh on 24th November. After this it will be organized in different cities of the country. It is noteworthy that under the ‘Aagaaz’ series under the ‘Tansen Celebrations Centenary Year 2024’, there will be singing and musical performances by senior artists of the country on Friday.
100 Dhrupad singers will make a record by singing together in Gwalior
A record of Dhrupad singing will be made under the centenary year Tansen celebrations to be held in Gwalior from 14th December. 100 Dhrupad singers will perform simultaneously in the program. It is noteworthy that in the 99th festival of 2023, 1500 tabla players had created a world record by performing together. At the Khajuraho Festival held in February 2024, 1348 dancers had created a record by performing Kathak.
