Jaipur : Fresh snowfall in the hilly areas of North India has started inviting tourists. Shimla has experienced snowfall in December for decades. However, due to snowfall in the mountains, a new wave of cold wave may start in the plains in the next four-five days. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the minimum temperature will gradually drop by two to four degrees Celsius in North-West, Central and Eastern India for the next three days. After that, no significant change will be seen this week. Light cold wave will continue in Rajasthan till 13th December.
Northern winds have started showing effect in Rajasthan. For the first time in the season, cold wave has started in the state. On Monday, its impact was seen in Baran, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh and Udaipur. Apart from four cities, there was no effect of cold wave, but the cold wind gave chills. A fall in night mercury was seen in many cities in Rajasthan.
Cold wave alert in these 13 districts
The mercury dropped below five degrees in the state. The lowest minimum temperature was 4.8 degrees recorded in Mount Abu. Apart from this, the night temperature was recorded at 5 degrees in Bhilwara and 5.2 degrees in Dabok. Here, the Meteorological Center Jaipur has issued a cold wave alert at 13 places on Tuesday. The Center has issued a yellow alert of cold wave till December 13 in Alwar, Baran, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Sikar, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Sriganganagar.
