Jaipur : Rajasthan Police has arrested the principal of a private school and the father of the rape victim. The principal has been arrested from Deoria in UP and the girl’s father from Behror. The father, along with the principal, had tampered with the birth records of the minor rape victim to show her as an adult. All this was done so that the accused could get bail.
Aunt sold minor girl for 2 lakhs
According to the police, the victim had alleged in July that her aunt had sold her to Haryana resident Sandeep Yadav for Rs 2 lakh, after which Yadav raped her. After investigating the case registered under the relevant sections, the victim’s aunt, Sandeep Yadav and his father Satveer Yadav were arrested and sent to judicial custody. Murlipura police station officer Sunil Kumar Jangid said that meanwhile the victim’s father Sanjay contacted a private school in Uttar Pradesh and obtained false records and claimed that his daughter was not a minor but an adult. The school’s headmaster Prananath Mal tampered with the school register and gave a wrong birth record. The document stated that the girl was born in the year 2003. All this was done to help the accused get bail.
The principal changed the date of birth and tampered with it
While checking the school records, the police found that the girl’s year of birth had been changed from 2010 to 2003, making her age 21 years. After the victim lodged an FIR, the police obtained her records, which showed that she was a minor. According to the police, when the second birth document surfaced, the police suspected that it was fake and a separate case was registered in this regard and a police team was sent to Uttar Pradesh to verify the document.
School principal arrested from UP’s Deoria
The police team that went to Uttar Pradesh investigated the school records and found that the school register had been tampered with. The register was seized and the school principal was arrested from Deoria in UP. During interrogation, the school principal said that the girl’s father had contacted him for fake records, after which he was also arrested on Saturday night. The principal and the girl’s father have been arrested in another case related to tampering with documents.
