Shekhawati’s prominent Dalit leader Sundarlal ‘Kaka’ passes away, CM expresses condolences

Jaipur : Rajasthan BJP’s veteran leader Sundarlal ‘Kaka’ has passed away. He breathed his last during treatment at SMS Hospital. Kaka was being treated in SMS’s medical ICU. Sundarlal Kaka is considered a prominent Dalit leader of Shekhawati. His death has caused a wave of mourning across the state.

Kaka was an MLA 7 times

Actually, Sundarlal ‘Kaka’ was a strong leader of Shekhawati region and a 7-time MLA. Kaka Sundarlal was a 7-time MLA from Jhunjhunu’s Surajgarh and Pilani assembly constituencies. He also became a cabinet minister twice, a state minister once and a parliamentary secretary once. Kaka Sundarlal contested his first election in 1972 on a Congress ticket from Surajgarh and became an MLA from Surajgarh for the first time.

Was born in Buhana of Jhunjhunu district

Kaka Sundarlal was born on 22 August 1933 in Kalwa village of Buhana tehsil of Jhunjhunu district. Former cabinet minister Sundarlal celebrated his 92nd birthday on 22 August. Sundarlal ‘Kaka’ died at around 2:40 am on Thursday night after a long illness. He was 92 years old. He breathed his last at SMS Hospital in Jaipur.

CM Bhajanlal expressed condolences

Expressing condolences on Kaka’s death, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma wrote, “The news of the death of former cabinet minister, senior leader of Rajasthan BJP Sundarlal “Kaka” is very sad. His demise is an irreparable loss for the BJP family. I pray to Almighty God to grant his pious soul a place in his lotus feet and provide strength to his family members in this hour of grief. Om Shanti!”

Deputy Chief Minister Bairwa also expressed condolences

Expressing grief, Rajasthan Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa said, “The news of the demise of former cabinet minister and senior BJP leader respected Sundarlal Kaka is very sad. His contributions to politics and social sector will always be remembered. In this hour of grief, my deepest condolences to the bereaved family, supporters and all the fans. I pray to Almighty God to give place to the noble soul in his lotus feet and provide strength to the bereaved family in this sad hour. Om Shanti!”
