Jaipur : A high profile dowry harassment case has come to light in the capital Jaipur. Here the wife of an IRS officer has filed a complaint against her husband and in-laws. At present, the police have registered a case and started investigation. This entire case is related to the demand of one crore and physical relations between the husband and wife.
Only 8 days together in one and a half year, did not even have sex
His wife Poorva has filed a case against IRS Chirag Jhirwal posted in Gujarat in Jaipur’s West Women’s Police Station. According to which, the marriage took place one and a half years ago in December 2022 as per social customs. But after marriage, Chirag and his family started harassing Poorva. Chirag stayed with his wife only for 8 days in one and a half years. Even in those 8 days, he kept a distance from his wife. He did not even have sex with his wife.
The relationship was through a relative
According to Poorva’s father Dinesh, when he was looking for a match for his daughter, one of his relatives told him about Chirag. Initially, both the families were ready for the marriage. But as soon as the ring ceremony was fixed, Chirag’s family started demanding dowry.
Demand for 1 crore and 1 thousand square yards of land
At the time of marriage, Poorva’s in-laws had promised to give her one crore rupees and 1000 square yards of land. When Dinesh could not arrange for this, he even stopped the farewell, but somehow Chirag’s family agreed at that time. But after this, Poorva was constantly harassed.
The IRS officer’s family is from Jhunjhunu
Poorva and her family say that Chirag and his family are originally from Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. Poorva and her family tried to convince Chirag’s family but they did not listen. Poorva’s family was afraid of defamation, so they did not register a case at first but finally they had to take shelter of the police.
The engagement took place at Rambagh Palace
Chirag and his family are accused of organising the engagement ceremony at Rambagh Palace. The entire expense of which was also borne by Purva’s family. And after this, they talked about getting married at Rambagh Palace but the girl’s family refused, so after that the marriage took place at a marriage garden located on Ajmer Road.
