Chittorgarh : The bodies of a young man and a minor girl were found floating in a river in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district on Wednesday morning. Both their hands were tied with cloth. Due to which the case seems to be a love affair. The lovers had disappeared from their home on Tuesday afternoon.
Dead bodies were seen during immersion of ashes
According to the information, on Wednesday, villager Ratanlal Prajapati had come to immerse the ashes of his relative at the confluence of Gambhiri and Bedach rivers near the Mahadev temple of Bhoikheda. Then he saw a bike lying there in an abandoned state. After which he looked far and wide, but could not see anyone. After this, when he looked inside the water, he saw the bodies of both of them. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took out the bodies with the help of local divers and kept them in the mortuary in the hospital.
Youth and minor identified
During investigation, it was found that the young man is 19-year-old Udit Mehta, a resident of Chittorgarh city. The minor girl is a resident of Senthi. Both have been missing from home since Tuesday. The families of both had also lodged a missing report with the police. Additional SP Tej Kumar Pathak says that at present there is a possibility that the bodies of both are about 24 hours old. After the post-mortem, it will be known when the death occurred.

Police have also found wounds on the hands of the deceased boy and girl. Police also believes that both of them first tried to cut the veins of their hands to commit suicide. But when blood started flowing, both of them jumped into the river. At present, the police is investigating this case from the angle of suicide.
