For this reason, the Health Department has increased the scope of investigation and started checking the quality of Prasad in the temples of every state so that the faith of the devotees in the temples is not tampered with. In this connection, the food safety team of the Medical Department in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan carried out a major action on Thursday. On the instructions of CMHO Dharam Singh Meena, the team of the department led by Food Safety Inspector Virendra Singh raided the Trinetra Ganesh Temple of Ranthambore. More than two thousand kilograms of moldy spoiled gram flour laddus were confiscated and destroyed.

Health department raids Trinetra Ganesh temple for the second time

In this series, last Thursday, the Health Department took major action for the second time at Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Sawai Madhopur. On the instructions of CMHO Dharam Singh Meena, the responsibility of this was handed over to food inspectors Virendra Singh, Babulal, Ved Prakash Purviya of the food safety team. He along with other team members reached the Trinetra Ganesh temple complex in Ranthambore and started checking the offerings made at the temple. During this time, the team sealed the shops and prasad stores built in the temple premises and also seized more than two thousand kilograms of gram flour laddus and raw material tainted with fungus, which were later destroyed.

After 870, 2000 kg of moldy gram flour laddus were found.

Regarding the action, Food Safety Inspector Virendra Singh said that the team had reached the Trinetra Ganesh temple complex of Ranthambore a day earlier. Where 870 kg of moldy gram flour laddus were seized from about a dozen shops and destroyed. Also, the shops, stores and warehouses which were found closed were sealed by the team, due to which on Thursday once again the food safety team reached the Trinetra Ganesh Temple complex of Ranthambore for the second day and opened the warehouses and storage houses which were sealed a day earlier. More than two thousand kilos of spoiled and moldy gram flour laddus and gram flour powder kept in them were opened and destroyed. This is the biggest action ever taken by the Food Safety Department team on Prasad shops, stores and warehouses located in the temple premises.

Laddus were better than expected

It is noteworthy that like every year, this year also a three-day Lakhi fair of Trinetra Ganesh was organized on 6th, 7th and 8th September in this month. Every year 8 to 10 lakh devotees reach Ranthambore for the darshan of Trinetra Ganesh during the three-day fair, but this time due to heavy rains in the area, the roads were closed and as per the estimates of shopkeepers in the temple premises, devotees could not visit the temple for Ganesh darshan. Arrived. Due to this, the hard work of the shopkeepers in making large quantities of gram flour laddus for Prasad went in vain. Because the sales were not as per the expectations of the shopkeepers. And hundreds of kilos of gram flour laddus were left in the shops, due to which fungus grew on them.

Trinetra Ganesh temple is currently closed for repairs.

Not only this, due to the damage caused to Trinetra Ganesh temple due to rain, the temple trust closed the temple for devotees. Which will be opened after repairs on October 2. In such a situation, shops were decorated in the temple premises and offerings of hundreds of kilos of gram flour laddus were kept ready. Due to which fungus got infected on them.
