Banswara News Desk: An eight-day religious event Shri Mahavidya Shri Lakshminarayan Mahayagya ritual has started from Wednesday at Tapobhoomi Lalivav located in Surajpol, Saket Nagar of the city with the wish of salvation of all ancestors. On Wednesday, the procession from Kushalbagh ground of the city reached Lalivav Math through various routes. In the procession, decorated women carried Ganga Kalash on their heads.
Women walked all the way singing bhajans, kirtans and playing garba. During this time eunuchs also performed devotional dances. Devotees welcomed the idols of God and the saints and mahatmas seated on the chariot by showering flowers at various places. After reaching Lalivaav Math, entered Hemadri Vidhan and Yagya Mandap with proper rituals. From Thursday there will be Ashtottarasat Bhagwat Parayan and Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. For the next eight days, many religious events including Yagyacharana, Parayana and Bhagwat Katha will be organized at Lalivav Math. Saint Rajendra Das Devacharya Maharaj who came from Vrindavan Dham will recite Shrimad Bhagwat Katha.
After Vinayak Puja, the festival started on Wednesday with the worship of the Gods and Goddesses of Lalivaav Math, remembrance of the former Peethadheeshwars, Samadhi and worship of idols. After this, the Astha Yatra of ritualistic saints, pundits and host families started from the Math premises, which transformed into Hemadri Vidhan Utsav after reaching Shri Pitambara Ashram.
Under the guidance of Acharya Mandal chief Pt. Nikunj Mohan Pandya and Pt. Divya Bharat Pandya, everyone was purified with rituals like Hemadri and Dashavidhi bath etc. and prayers were offered. Pothi and Kalash Yatra were carried out as per the rituals followed by Hemadri Karma and rituals before Shri Pitambara Ashram. Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Lakshminarayan Mahayagya and other religious events will start from 7 am in Lalivav Math from Thursday. There will be Bhagwat Katha from 1 pm to 5 pm, which will continue till 27th November. Mahamandaleshwar Mahant Hariomdas Maharaj of Lalivav Math said that the basic objective of such a big religious event is the wish for salvation of all the ancestors. We have to provide salvation to the unsatisfied souls of the entire society who have not yet attained salvation.
