SI and hotel owner fight over coffee in hotel, beard pulled, turban thrown, uproar

Jaipur : A ruckus broke out at a cafe located on Gopalpura bypass in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, on Friday evening. It is alleged that some policemen in civil dress had reached there to check the nearby liquor shop. During this time, they asked the cafe waiter to serve free coffee. But, the waiter refused to do so. After this, the said policemen started beating the waiter. A huge crowd started gathering at the spot and people started stopping to watch everything. Then the Sikh friend of the cafe owner, who was passing by, also stopped seeing the crowd. When he saw the unknown person misbehaving with the staff, he started opposing him.

The policeman got angry when asked for ID

Then he was told that they were from the police and had come there to do checking. All the policemen were in civil dress, so the Sikh man asked the policeman to show his ID card. But the policeman did not show the ID card and in anger first pulled the beard of the Sikh man and then brought a stick from inside and hit him on the head, due to which his turban fell down. After this, a fight started there. Soon people from the Sikh community gathered there and started asking the policeman to apologize.

ACP Poonia arrived with additional force

Seeing the situation getting worse, ACP Malviya Nagar Aditya Poonia also reached the spot with additional police force and tried to convince the people of the Sikh community. The ruckus continued for a long time, which people kept watching intermittently. After some time, other policemen took the said policeman with them in a Dial 112 vehicle. After this, the Sikh man told the media that he was ready to go with the policeman, but they beat him up. They pulled down his turban and also took away his gold chain. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
