Sikar administration woke up after the death of 16 people in the accident, now doing this to prevent accidents

Sikar : On the day of Dhanteras, a horrific bus accident took place in Sikar district of Rajasthan. A bus full of passengers had collided with the wall of the bridge. On the day of the accident, 11 people died in this accident. Whereas 5 more people have died during treatment. After the death of 16 people in Laxmangarh accident, Sikar district administration is now awake. Road Safety Committee meeting was held at Sikar District Collectorate on Friday. In which the District Collector said that saving the lives of the common people is our priority. Laxmangarh road accident was also reviewed in the meeting and instructions were given to the officials to prevent accidents.

Instructions for installing radium plates on the back of vehicles
In fact, in the meeting of Sikar District Road Safety Committee on Friday, Collector Mukul Sharma reviewed the recent Laxmangarh road accident and directed the transport, police and NHAI officials that saving the lives of the common people should be our first priority. He gave instructions to install radium plates on the backs of tractor-trolleys and camel carts with the help of Bhamashahs to prevent road accidents.

Sign boards will be installed in Nilgai area
Along with this, to prevent accidents due to Nilgai, NHAI was instructed to install big sign boards of “Nilgai Area” in the concerned toll area and also to install rumble strips around the town area. He instructed all departmental officers to take it seriously.

Black stops will be marked
Instructions were given to the Public Works Department to install radium plates/belts to protect the stray animals from accidents in Municipality, City Council and Gram Panchayat areas in rural areas and to send the cows roaming freely in the cities to cow sheds. Instructions were given to identify the spot and send its compliance report.

District Collector Sharma directed the Traffic, Transport Department and Education Department to organize awareness workshops regarding road safety in colleges, schools and coaching institutes. He instructed the District Transport Officer and NHAI officials to prepare a detailed action plan regarding installation of speed meters on national highways and preparation of road safety action plan of the district.

Reward of Rs 10,000 for taking accident injured to hospital
The District Collector directed the Transport and Medical and Health Departments to widely publicize the scheme of providing assistance of Rs 10,000 to the person who takes the person injured in an accident to the hospital. He directed the Education Department to provide CPR training to school children and organize various awareness activities to provide information about road accidents.

License will be canceled for overloading
Along with the Public Works Department, other departments related to the construction of roads were instructed to improve the roads and fix sharp turns. Police and transport department should take strict action against those who violate traffic rules on overloaded vehicles and take action to suspend the license.

To pay tribute to the dead in the Laxmangarh road accident, he gave his suggestions regarding organizing a Cadel and Tribute program in Maru Park, removing the encroachment of hand bags in the city, installing white plaques on the roads and beautifying the gates of the city.
Drivers will be made aware by organizing camps
Along with organizing regular camps to make the drivers aware, health checkup and eye checkup camps will be organized for the drivers from 20-22nd November at Akhepura and Rasidpura toll, near Laxmangarh Pulia where a road accident has just taken place due to illegal encroachment. Police and Transport Department were instructed to take action as per legal procedure within 15 days for removal. Someone’s life can be lost due to their small carelessness.

Instructions were also given to repair the dilapidated road
In the meeting, Additional District Collector Ratan Kumar directed the officers of Police, Traffic, Transport, Municipal Council, PWD to take action by running a campaign in order to remove illegal encroachments to keep the traffic smooth in the city. He gave instructions to put up big hoardings regarding road safety in big towns of the district including Mandha Mod, Khatushyamji, Losal Road, Palsana and to get the damaged roads repaired by the Public Works Department.
