Sikar city businessman cheated of Rs 5 lakh, case registered

Sikar News Desk: A case of cheating a businessman of lakhs of rupees by sending poor quality cotton seeds has come to light. The accused showed good quality seeds to the businessman over video call and later sent poor quality seeds. The matter is of Udyog Nagar police station area of ​​Sikar.

In the report given to the police, Shailendra Hatwal (26), resident of New Indira Colony, Piprali Road (Sikar), told that he has a firm in the name of Durga Traders in Indira Colony. The accused had purchased 171.10 quintals of good quality cotton seeds at the rate of Rs 2800 per quintal from Ajay Kumar, his brother Kumar Arora and broker Rehmat Ban, proprietor of Shivani Traders, Akola (Maharashtra). In lieu of which, Rs 5 lakh was paid through RTGS into the account of Shivani Traders.

After sending the money, Shivani Traders sent cotton seeds to him. When we came here and saw the cotton seeds, they were of poor quality. The seeds shown in the video call were not seeds. When Shailendra talked to the accused about this, they did not give any answer nor did they reply to any mail. In this way the accused cheated Rs 5 lakh from the businessman. At present the police have registered the case and started investigation. SI Bhanwarlal is investigating the case.
