Sikar News Desk: Today, anger was expressed by the employees of the department against the privatization of electricity department. Who boycotted work for one day and staged a protest in the Assistant Engineer offices today. A memorandum was also given to Assistant Engineers and SDMs demanding to stop privatization. On November 29, employees of the electricity department will stage a strike at the collectorate. Employee leader Rajkumar said that contracts are being given by the government in different names, which will violate the interests of the employees. Besides, the public will also suffer a lot due to this.
Junior Engineer Nitesh Garhwal said that in the name of privatization, Rajasthan government is bringing different types of models. We strongly oppose that sometimes FRT model and sometimes GSS are being privatized. We want this privatization to be stopped with immediate effect. Like before, regular recruitment should be done in the Energy Department. Due to this privatization, contractors are dominating the public.
People have to pay extra money even for work worth Rs 5. If government employees do any work then they also remain sensitive towards the public. Electricity department employee Mahesh Sevda said that due to privatization, agriculture connections are also getting delayed due to the arbitrary will of the contractors. A memorandum will be given by protesting against privatization at the Collectorate on 29th November.
