Due to lack of cleaning of Dudhiya pond located at Sirohi : District Headquarters, it is covered with bushes. There is an atmosphere of filth everywhere. The common people are suffering the consequences of the negligence of the responsible people. Due to lack of cleanliness, there are heaps of dirt and garbage lying all around the pond. Due to this the beautification of the pond is also getting tarnished. The biggest thing is that this pond also supplies water to the city, but the officials are not paying any attention to it.
Neighboring people told that the higher authorities were informed several times for cleaning the Dudhia pond and not dumping garbage in the pond, but no action has been taken till now. Since it is situated on the main road and there is no wall of the pond, everyone throws garbage and other materials inside the pond and goes away. People told that not only the entire city but people of many nearby villages are immersing the idols installed during Ganesh Chaturthi, Dashamata, Janmashtami, Navratri and other festivals, putting garlands, ashes, photos, coconuts and other materials in this pond. Due to which this pond has become a garbage container. Higher officials should consider this serious problem and find a suitable solution, so that the beauty of the pond is maintained.
