The department level cleaning of the playground situated in the middle of Railway Colony is seen twice a year on Independence and Republic Day. Due to lack of regular cleaning, garbage containing dung and plastic is seen everywhere in the grounds. There are a lot of small sharp stones, due to which there is a possibility of injury to the people visiting here. On behalf of Rail Vikas Nigam, dozens of tree-guards were installed all around the grounds and saplings of different species were planted. Most of which have been burnt. The field remains filled with water for several days after the rain stops. Toilets and urinals are dilapidated.

A children’s playground is located in the grounds for the entertainment of children. About five years ago, the then DRM Puneet Chawla had inspected the ground. On his instructions, this complex was developed and facilities like swings, pathways, grass, iron railings all around, granite benches etc. were provided. Today the benches and swings are broken. There is no proper arrangement for lighting. The bushes have grown. Garbage keeps spreading.
