Sirohi : You have heard the example of friendship between Shri Krishna and Sudama. There is one such pair of friends in Rampura village of Sirohi district, who maintained friendship till their death. When a friend fell ill, someone else took care of him. He got treatment, but could not survive, so he took him to the village and performed the last rites himself. This story of Rampura residents Bhanu Kumar Ojha and Arjun Mistry is two and a half decades old. Ojha tells that when he was studying in class 4 in Sirohi, he befriended Arjun Mistry, who lived on rent in his neighbourhood. Despite the age difference, both of them played together and moved forward. Later Arjun Mistry went to Jaipur. He was alone. There was no one in front or behind him. 70 year old Arjun Kumar’s health deteriorated recently. Friend Bhanu Kumar went from Sirohi to Jaipur. Brought him from Jaipur to Rampura. Served a friend here.
Financial condition weak, still maintained friendship
Despite Bhanu Kumar Ojha’s weak financial condition, he maintained his friendship wholeheartedly and as a humanitarian, he got his friend Arjun treated with his own money. From Sirohi he was also taken to Udaipur for treatment. But could not save them. Mistry remained associated with RSS. He also took part in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
Fulfilled duty even at the last moment
Ojha brought his friend’s body to village Rampura and performed the last rites with all rituals. Later, he went to Markandeshwar in Azari and immersed the ashes. Ojha’s family also fully cooperated in this entire incident. Ojha himself lives in a rented house in Rampura.
