Sirohi : Sirohi: Thursday was the coldest day of this winter season in Mount Abu, a tourist destination situated amidst the hills of Arbudanchal. Due to the drop in minimum temperature, people were forced to resort to warm clothes due to severe cold in the morning and evening. People also resorted to bonfires in the morning to escape the cold.
Due to a drop of 1.8 degree Celsius in the minimum temperature, the mercury of the thermometer was recorded at 5 degree Celsius. At the same time, due to increase of 0.8 degree Celsius in the maximum temperature, the temperature remained at 19.8 degree Celsius. At night people had to resort to heavy quilts. In an attempt to escape the cold, people remained hiding in their homes till the day wore on. The fascinating sight of the redness emanating from the rising sun through the scattered clouds in the morning sky remained the center of attraction for the tourists. The fog in the valleys dissipated as the day progressed. People enjoyed sunbathing in the morning. The coolness remained due to light breeze movement during the day. Tourists enjoyed seeing the valleys while observing the sights with the help of woolen cloaks.
