Sirohi : A case of torture of a woman for religious conversion has come to light in Sirohi. When the woman did not accept Christianity, her husband and in-laws beat her and tied her with chains. Not only this, his 1 month old son was also separated. On getting information about this, the family reached her in-laws house and opened the chain and brought her to Pehar. The woman’s father lodged a complaint with the SP on Monday demanding action against the son-in-law and his family. The matter is of Dhanera village of Revdar police station area of ​​Sirohi.

Started putting pressure on people to accept Christianity

SP Anil Kumar said- Jagsi Ram, son of Chelaram Koli, resident of Daulpura Hall Lilora of Revdar tehsil has given a complaint. He told that he supports his family by doing farming in Lilora village. His daughter Panku was married to Deeparam’s son Ganeshji Koli resident Dhanera (Revdar) as per Hindu customs. After marriage, Deeparam and his family took good care of her for 4 months. After this, they started fighting over small matters every day. The victim’s father told that son-in-law Deeparam started propagating Christianity on social media. He started posting all the video-posts about Christianity and said that he has accepted Christianity. You also become a Christian, go with the missionaries who come to their programs.

When people refused to convert, they started beating them.

Jagsi Ram told – Daughter Panku refused to accept the son-in-law’s Christianity and said that she is from Hindu religion, hence will not go to any program of Christianity. On this Deeparam started torturing him to forcibly convert him. The daughter’s husband, brother-in-law Shankar, Umaram, sister-in-law Phuli Devi, Manju and Jamuna Devi have also accepted Christianity. Every week he goes to the program with the missionaries and propagates it. The victim’s father told – All the people of Panku’s in-laws started pressurizing him to accept Christianity. They started beating him every day and treating him like an animal. Due to continuous beatings and mental torture, his condition has become like that of a madman. Her in-laws do not give food to the daughter on time. The in-laws harass her mentally and physically.

Newborn son also separated from mother

Jagsi Ram told – 1 month ago on Diwali, Panku had given birth to a son, whom her in-laws keep away from her. A few days ago, the people of Dhanera told that Panku’s in-laws had tied him with chains. She remains tied with chains the whole day. His condition is bad due to the beating. She will die, save her. Jagsiram told – On November 17, when he and his relatives went to Dhanera to pick up the daughter, they saw that the daughter’s legs were tied with chains. His physical and mental condition was not good. Saved his life by opening his chain and brought him home. Currently undergoing treatment in Palanpur (Gujarat). Panku has become physically weak and her mental condition is also not good. She cannot even walk on her own.
