Sitendra Sankhla’s body will reach Rajasthan today, he was martyred in INS Brahmaputra accident

Jhunjhunu : The body of Sitender Sankhla, who was martyred in the accident in INS Brahmaputra four days ago, will arrive at his ancestral home Dangar in Jhunjhunu today. Where he will be cremated with state honors. It is worth noting that on July 21, a fire broke out in INS Brahmaputra which was standing for maintenance in Mumbai’s Navy Dockyard. Sitender was working as a junior sailor in INS Brahmaputra.

The body will reach Jhunjhunu at 10 am today

According to the information, after the accident of INS Brahmaputra on 21st July, the next day Navy officials informed that Sitender Sankhla is missing since the accident. He is being searched. On 24th July at 3 am, the body of Sitender Sankhla was recovered by Navy divers. The body of martyred Navy Jawan Sitender Sankhla reached Delhi on Wednesday evening and after that it will be brought to his native village Dangar by road by 10 am today.

Recruitment for the post of Sitendra Sailor was done in 2018

According to officials, when this accident happened, repair work was going on in the Multi Role Frigate Naval Dockyard. 23-year-old martyred soldier Sitender Sankhla was a resident of Dangar village of Chidawa tehsil of Jhunjhunu district. The martyr’s last rites will be performed with military honors in his native village Dangar on Thursday. Sitender Sankhla joined the Navy as a sailor in 2018.
