Kota : There was a film style encounter between the team of Central Narcotics Bureau (CBN) Madhya Pradesh unit and drug smugglers at Hanging Bridge Toll in Kota RKpuram police station area at 6 am on Friday. The video of this encounter is going viral on social media. The viral video is of Nayagaon toll post located near the hanging bridge on National Highway 27. It is seen that the Central Narcotics Bureau team from Jawar, Madhya Pradesh was already present at the toll. Seeing the team, the smugglers broke the toll and first took their vehicle from behind and hit a vehicle, then suddenly moved forward and hit the official vehicle of the CBN team hard. The smugglers were trying to hit and run away, but the CBN team showed courage and arrested two smugglers. Also, 911 kg of doda-powder was recovered from them.
The incident happened on 29th November
The incident took place on November 29 at Javra unit of Madhya Pradesh. Jawar Unit had received information that sawdust was being transported from Mansa in Madhya Pradesh to Bikaner. In this regard, a team was sent to Rajasthan on 27 November. The team was deployed at Nayagaon toll plaza since 27th.
No complaints received
RKpuram SHO Mahesh Karwal said that the incident occurred at 6 am on Friday. After the video went viral, the incident came to light when I saw the toll report. No case of any kind was registered in this regard, nor was any complaint given.
Seeing the team, it reversed and hit the car parked behind.
As soon as the smugglers climbed the Nayagaon culvert from Rawatbhata side and moved towards the hanging bridge, they came to know about the CBN team on the toll, but before they could understand, the toll arrived and they stopped their vehicle at the toll booth to deduct the toll. The team tried to catch him. On this the smugglers reversed the vehicle. During this, a common citizen’s car was also hit. Due to this the airbags of the car opened. The front part of the car was damaged. The smugglers still did not stop. In an attempt to escape, he increased the speed of the car and hit the narcotics vehicle heavily. The good thing was that no one was sitting in the vehicle at that time.
Trying to stop fire bucket hitting
When the smugglers took the vehicle back and moved ahead, the team members and toll workers present at the toll tried to stop it by hitting the fire bucket kept there, but they could not succeed. The team chased the driver for 20 feet and caught him, while another team caught the smuggler’s accomplice. The team seized 45 sacks of sawdust from the vehicle. The team took away the smugglers’ vehicles, drugs and both the smugglers. In this regard, a case has been registered under the NDPS Act and investigation is being done.
