Smuggling is a daily occurrence on the Indo-Pak border, police arrested the mastermind mother and son

Sri Ganganagar : Gajsinghpur Police of Sri Ganganagar district has exposed a big gang of heroin smuggling. Police has arrested two persons in the case of heroin smuggling from Pakistan, while a juvenile has also been caught. Police has seized four lakh twenty thousand rupees drug money and a car from these smugglers. Apart from this, three smugglers including mother and son have been caught in Fazilka district of Punjab. Sri Ganganagar SP Gaurav Yadav said that 2 kg heroin and a smartphone were recovered on the night of July 19 in a field near Chak 37-H village Naggi on the India-Pakistan border. In this case, two persons including a juvenile were caught by the police. While three smugglers including mother and son have been caught in Fazilka district of Punjab. He said that Satpal Singh alias Pali of border Chak 6-V Dhanur and Angrez Singh of village Khat Labana of Hindumalkot police station area have been arrested.

The drone dropped packets of 8 kg heroin

A Honda City car used in smuggling has been recovered from the possession of Satpal Singh. While drug money worth Rs 4.20 lakh has been seized from the possession of Angrez Singh. He told that on that night, the drone of Pakistani smugglers made four rounds and dropped packets of 8 kg heroin. Out of this, the smugglers from Punjab were successful in taking away 6 kg heroin. Among these smugglers, three including a mother-son were caught in Punjab the very next day. All the smugglers caught are related to each other.

Smugglers had come to Rajasthan from Punjab

Satpal Singh’s maternal home is in Fazilka district of Punjab. Sources said that Satpal’s brother is in touch with big smugglers of Punjab and he also has contacts with Pakistani smugglers. According to sources, on the night of July 19, the juvenile offender and two other youths from a village in Fazilka district had gone to Chak 37 H to collect the packets of heroin dropped by Pakistani drones. Satpal and a woman from his maternal village, who had come with her son, waited near the bus stand in Srikaranpur for them to return with the consignment. The woman and her son left for Punjab with the three packets of heroin brought by the juvenile offender and the two youths. According to information, all three were caught the next day in Fazilka district with some quantity of heroin and a large amount in the form of drug money. All three are in the custody of Punjab Police.

Angrez Singh supplies heroin to smugglers in India

Angrez Singh, a resident of Khat Labana, who was caught by Gajsinghpur police, not only helps the smugglers of heroin but also buys the goods from them and sells them further. He had bought a part of the goods delivered to the field of Chak 37 H from the smugglers and sold it. The police have seized this entire amount of Rs. 4 lakh 40 thousand from him in the form of drug money.

In the fourth round of the drone, the farmers got a hint

Informed sources said that on the night of July 19, the Pakistani drone made four rounds in the fields of Chak 37 H. In each round, packets of 2 kg heroin were dropped. The 6 kg heroin dropped in three to four rounds fell into the hands of the smugglers who had gone there. When the drone made its fourth round and dropped the packets, the farmers working in the nearby fields got a whiff of it. When they raised an alarm, the juvenile delinquent and two other youths fled in a hurry without picking up the packets of 2 kg heroin. One of them also left his mobile phone there. They also had a water bottle with them, which was left there.

More revelations likely

In this way, the smugglers of Punjab were successful in taking away 6 kg heroin. It is being told that this consignment was further delivered to the big smugglers of Punjab. These smugglers kept some part of it with themselves. They were caught with it the very next day in Fazilka district. The smugglers caught there will now be brought by the Gajsinghpur police station on a production warrant soon. After that, some more revelations are likely to happen.
