Sogriya Express will not run for 3 months due to Karoli fog

Karauli : Due to the possibility of intensification of winter and dense fog in the coming days, Railways has canceled the train operating between Sogaria (Kota) to New Delhi for three months. This train will not operate from December 1 to February 28, 2025. By this train, more than 500 passengers travel daily from Hindaun railway station towards New Delhi and Kota. According to railway sources, Sogaria Express is a train service to go to Delhi in the evening after the Golden Temple Mail at around 10 am. Due to departure at around 7 pm, more than 260 passengers travel in the train every day from Hindaun station. Whereas on return from Delhi, the same number of people travel for Kota at around 10 am in the morning.

Due to this, Railways is earning passenger fare of about Rs 40 thousand per day. In such a situation, passengers will have to travel in night trains Nanda Devi Express and Dehradun Express. At the same time, people will face problems due to increase in the load of passengers of Sogaria Express in both the trains. Rohit Malviya, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Public Relations Officer of Kota Railway Division, said that in the upcoming fog season, Sogaria-New Delhi train of Kota Division will be canceled from its originating station from December 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025.
