Patna, November 28 (IANS). Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri Devi has demanded Mithila state. He said that Mithila should be a separate state. Many leaders of Bihar have given their reaction on this.
BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur said, “Mithil state or Bihar state is formed by votes. Mithila is rich with Bihar. If there is talk of forming a state, then it will be seen.”
Congress MLA Shakeel Ahmed said, “Mithila is a very good and sweet language. The people there are also very nice. The food there is also very good. Now that Rabri Devi has raised the demand for Mithila state, she is right.”
RJD MLA Fateh Bahadur said, “Rabri Devi is the queen mother of our party. His every decision is of paramount importance for us. Whatever his decision, we are with him.”
CPI(ML) MLA Mehboob Alam said, “Now Mithila will be a separate state, then why won’t Seemanchal be a separate state, why won’t Bhojpur be a separate state again.”
AIMIM leader Akhtarul Iman Shaheen said, “Rabri Devi remembered Mithila, but did not remember Seemanchal. After going to Seemanchal, his son Tejashwi Yadav had said that if our government is formed, we will form Seemanchal Development Council. If there is any poorest part of Bihar, it is Seemanchal. But, Seemanchal was not paid attention to. Bihar should not be divided. Bihar should remain united. It would not be appropriate to separate Bihar. But, attention should be paid to development work in the weaker parts of Bihar.”
Recently a copy of the Constitution in Maithili language was released. After this, Rabri Devi promised to give Mithila kingdom to the people of Mithila.
