Bihar Sharif, 10 December (IANS). Police on Tuesday disclosed the case of brutal murder of a couple about a month ago in Nalanda district of Bihar. Police arrested the accused Vipin Kumar. He is the son of the deceased couple. Police claim that the accused had killed his parents due to his addiction to mobile games and gambling.
Rajgir DSP Sunil Kumar said on Tuesday that Vipin Kumar had the habit of gambling through mobile games. He had taken loan from the villagers and lost two to three lakh rupees in gambling. The parents were troubled by their son’s dirty addiction and objected to his habit. Due to this opposition, his own son became the enemy of his life.
He said that on the night of November 17, Vipin, in a fit of anger, planned the murder in a well-planned manner and carried out the incident. After this, to save himself, the accused burnt the dead bodies and created a false story of death due to electric current. When the news of the death of the couple spread in the early morning of 18th November in Dogi village of Chhabilapur police station area, people were stunned.
DSP said that the police found some evidence during the investigation and then the accused was interrogated. On the basis of statement and technical evidence, the police’s suspicion was confirmed. During interrogation the accused confessed to his crime.
It is said that the accused Vipin Kumar is a student of B-Pharma and was the only son of his parents. He used to take money from his parents on the pretext of studies and play mobile games and gambling. This habit made him a murderer. The accused has been sent to judicial custody.
