The matter is very surprising.
The entire family welcomed the son-in-law who reached his in-laws’ house on Rakshabandhan.
Actually, this entire incident happened about three years ago in July 2021. The 17-year-old girl was married just a few days before this incident. She had come to her in-laws’ house for the first time with her husband on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. She was sitting there in the room with her husband. Meanwhile, the son-in-law of the family came there. The brother-in-law came out to welcome the son-in-law i.e. brother-in-law and his wife also came out with him. Both of them touched the feet of the brother-in-law and after that the brother-in-law and mother-in-law welcomed their son-in-law.
Found brother-in-law’s minor wife alone at home and did a disgusting act.
After some time, brother-in-law and mother-in-law went out of the house to the village for some work. It took some time for them to arrive. During this time, the son-in-law raped his brother-in-law’s minor wife and threatened to kill her. By the time the brother-in-law and Sal arrived, the son-in-law had taken away his own brother-in-law’s wife. They took them to different places and raped them for two months and then both were caught. The daughter-in-law’s father-in-law filed a case against his own son-in-law in this matter.
Sentencing took place after 3 years of trial and testimony of 18 witnesses.
Over the course of three years, 18 people from the family and the town were examined as witnesses and statements were recorded. The girl was a minor, hence a case was registered under POCSO Act and other matters. Several court appearances and trials continued for three years. Now the decision has come in this matter. The police have sentenced the accused son-in-law to 20 years’ imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 48 thousand.
