Jaipur News Desk: After the head constable committed suicide, the family members were sitting on a dharna outside the mortuary of Sawai Mansingh Hospital since August 22, demanding a CBI inquiry and the arrest of the policemen named in the FIR. Talks were held with the family members sitting on the dharna on Tuesday morning under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Anand Kumar. DGP UR Sahu, DG ACB Ravi Prakash Mehara, DG Intelligence Sanjay Agarwal, Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph, Additional Commissioner Kunwar Rashtradeep were present in it. After agreement on various demands, the family members met Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa. After this it was announced to end the dharna.
On the sixth day, the family and the government reached a consensus in the case of suicide of Head Constable Babulal Gothwal of Mukundpura police post of Bhankrota. As per the promise made to the family, the government APOed Additional DCP Jagdish Vyas and ACP Anil Sharma and suspended Sub Inspector Ashutosh Singh. An SIT has been formed under the leadership of ADG Crime Dinesh MN to investigate the case registered on the basis of the letter written before the suicide. Babulal’s son Tanuj will get compassionate appointment and daughter Ekta will get a contractual job. The police will bear the expenses of the education and marriage of the younger daughter Sakshi. Apart from Babulal’s service benefits of Rs 55 lakh, the police department will provide voluntary financial assistance. After the end of the protest, the post-mortem of the body was done after the consensus was reached. After this, his last rites were performed in Bobas village in Kalwad.
SIT will investigate the reasons behind the suicide
DGP UR Sahu has formed an SIT under the leadership of ADG Dinesh MN to investigate the suicide case. It includes Inspector General (Crime) Praful Kumar, Superintendent of Police (Crime) Prahlad Krishniya, Additional Superintendent of Police Sohail Raja, Seema Bharti, Deputy Superintendent Ashok Kumar, Police Inspector Purushottam Maharia, Sub Inspector Vinod Kumar Meena.
