Special court for Tonk communal riots cases pronounced its verdict

Tonk News Desk: In the Malpura riot case of Tonk, the special court of Jaipur has sentenced 8 culprits to life imprisonment in a case. In the second case, 5 accused have been acquitted giving the benefit of doubt. There were communal riots about 24 years ago. 6 people died in this. Two minors were also among the dead.

While giving the verdict in the case on Monday, the court said – the killers have carried out this incident mercilessly with sharp weapons. In such a situation, leniency cannot be shown towards them.

Possibility of giving decision soon in 2 more cases Advocate Purushottam Banwada of the victim’s side told that in the year 2000, there was a riot between two communities in Malpura. In this, Hariram and Kailash Mali from one side were killed. Four people from the other side also died. Cases were filed from both sides. The court has just given its verdict in two cases. The decision in the remaining two cases is also likely to come soon.

Eight accused in the remaining two cases were acquitted by the High Court in 2016 itself. The decision will be taken regarding the remaining 17 accused.
