Speeding tanker crushes father and son on Bhilwara National Highway-48

Bhilwara News Desk: A speeding tanker crushed a father and son riding a bike in Bhilwara. Both died on the spot. The accident happened on Thursday night at around 8.30 pm near Guwardi drain on National Highway-48 (Delhi to Chennai) in Mangrop police station area.

The bike was completely damaged. The bodies of both were badly crushed. After the accident, the driver fled leaving the tanker four km away from the accident site. The tanker was identified by the blood on the tyre. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.

Police station in-charge Vivek Harsana said – Devi Lal Ahir (45), son of Bhanwar Lal and his son Rajkumar Ahir (21), who were riding the bike, died at 8.30 pm on Thursday night. Both were residents of Takhatpura village of Hamirgarh.

Near Guwardi drain on the highway, a speeding tanker hit the bike and went away crushing both of them along with the bike. People sent the dead bodies to the mortuary of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara.

After receiving information about the accident, the police searched for the vehicle and found a tanker parked near Jojdro Ka Kheda (Bhilwara), 4 km from the incident site. There was blood on his tyres. The vehicle has been confiscated. The accused driver is being searched. The case has been registered.
