Sports Minister emphasizes on the role of youth in achieving ‘Developed India’

New Delhi, November 26 (IANS). Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday participated in the ‘Vikas Bharat Ambassador – Youth Connect’ program at Kamala Nehru College in the city and stressed on the role of youth in realizing the goal of Developed India by 2047.

In a session with students, Mandaviya also informed about his government’s efforts on making India a developed nation by the 100th year of independence (2047) and how the youth can contribute to the country’s progress and development.

“To achieve this, we need to make our youth more ambitious, confident and visionary, aligning their aspirations with the vision of a developed India,” he said.

Speaking about the Youth Leaders Samvad – National Youth Mahotsav 2025, the Union Minister said, “Instead of a traditional event, it will have mass participation. It will involve 3,000 selected youth to share their views directly with the Prime Minister at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Apart from this, international and national youth icons will participate in the festival.

“This initiative will provide a unique platform for youth to connect with leaders and role models, empowering them to play an important role in shaping the future of the country,” he said.

Mandaviya also announced the launch of the first phase of “Develop India Youth Leader Dialogue” quiz competition on MY Bharat platform and urged the youth to participate in it.

Mandaviya said, “No task is small, youth should come forward to seize every opportunity with confidence.”

He emphasized that even the smallest efforts done with dedication play an important role in achieving success and promoting personal growth.

The Union Minister also participated in the tree plantation drive under the Prime Minister’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative.
