Sriganganagar : Sriganganagar: A 65-year-old man found guilty of doing dirty acts with a 13-year-old mentally weak and disabled girl has been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment. This decision was given by Judge Surendra Khare of Special Court No. 1 for POCSO cases on December 4. A fine of Rs 8 thousand has also been imposed on the culprit. Court’s SPP Harveer Singh Brar said that a case regarding the incident was registered at Karanpur police station on March 18.
The girl’s mother said in the complaint that the accused entered the victim’s house at around 3 pm in the afternoon and tried to do dirty acts with her mentally handicapped daughter. The victim’s daughter was sleeping on a cot in the cattle shed inside the house. The complainant’s son came to the spot and saw the old man doing dirty acts. After this the guilty person ran away. The guilty person had also committed dirty acts with a 14-year-old girl from another family in the same locality a month ago. Then when the girl’s mother arrived, the culprit ran away from the spot. The police conducted investigation and presented a challan against him on June 23.
