Sriganganagar : Due to continuous deterioration in the air quality index level i.e. AQI of Sriganganagar, the Health Department has issued an advisory. Health related institutions have been instructed to maintain proper arrangements of medicines and provide maximum information to the general public.
CMHO Dr. Mukesh Mehta said that the air quality in the district is continuously worsening. Due to continuous increase in air quality index due to industrial activities, burning of unnecessary waste, reduction in air flow and increasing number of vehicles etc., the health of the common people is being adversely affected. Due to this, common people are experiencing effects like headache, dizziness, difficulty in breathing, cough, chest discomfort, skin irritation etc.

CMHO Dr. Mehta said that to avoid pollution, stay at home if possible and do not go out unnecessarily. In case of shortness of breath, dizziness and burning sensation in the eyes, consult a doctor at your nearest health center. Use gas stove at home. Avoid going to areas with heavy traffic and congestion where construction is going on. Keep the windows and doors of the house closed in the early morning and late evening. If the air quality becomes too bad, stop morning walk and evening walk.
