Sriganganagar News Desk: The murder accused, lodged in the lock-up of Suratgarh City Police Station in Sriganganagar district, committed suicide. First tore the strip of cloth attached to the edge of the blanket given for covering. Then he made a noose of himself. The youth was arrested on Wednesday evening.
ASP Raghuveer Singh said that Ashok Godara (25) was beaten to death with sticks on the night of August 12 in Bhojewala village. In this case, Naresh Kumar (23), son of Palaram, resident of Didwana village of Rajiyasar police station area, was arrested at around 6.30 pm on Wednesday evening and put in lockup.
During this time policeman Vikram Gurjar was on night duty. The young man was given a blanket to cover himself in the lockup. He tied the noose with the strip of its cover. When the policemen tried to free him from the noose, he was already dead. After the incident, the body was sent to the mortuary of the government hospital.
