Sriganganagar : Beneficiaries who are getting pension under the Social Security Pension Scheme at the government level, they must get their annual physical verification done on the portal by 31st December of this month, otherwise in the absence of verification, their pension will be stopped from the new year. Actually, the portal was opened by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for annual physical verification from 1st November, which will remain functional till 31st December. In this, beneficiaries of pension scheme of Social Welfare Department, old age, single women, disabled people, old farmers, pensioners suffering from silicosis disease will have to compulsorily get their annual pension verification done by 31st December. Beneficiaries can get fingerprint and thumb impression biometrics done at e-Mitra centre, e-Mitra POS machine. If fingerprints do not match, verification can also be done through Irish scan. If physical verification of any beneficiary is not possible even after all these, then verification can be done by appearing before the competent authority sanctioning the pension.
You can also get verification done through mobile while sitting at home
According to the Social Security Officer of the Suratgarh-based block, beneficiaries can also get their physical verification done on the basis of face recognition through an app on Android mobile. For this, the pensioner will have to search RajSSP on Play Store and install the app on his own or any member of his family’s Android mobile from his Android mobile phone. Through this, first of all you have to enter the mobile number of the mobile holder and get OTP. After the mobile is verified, the pensioner’s PPO number will have to be fed, after which the pensioner’s name, father/husband’s name, scheme name, Aadhaar number etc. will be displayed. After this, after clicking on face capture, a live photo of the pension holder will have to be captured from the front or rear camera of the mobile. After the pensioner’s photo is verified through the Aadhaar portal, the process of annual physical verification of pensioners will be completed.
